Finally a sunny day to take a few pics of my Araucanas.  These birds are now approximately five months old.  The first is my black roo, Egor.

He’s rumpless and beautiful in the sunlight!

This is Josie–who hatched with Egor.  They are from Pennsylvania breeders Jody and Charlie.

Some of their other hatchmates–the Three Lovely Ladies.

Ha! Made you look!

Just wanted to post some pics of my recent hatchlings.

Bluebell

Bluebell

Bluebell is a blue, frizzled, bantam cockerel–12 weeks in this pic and won’t get much bigger.  I really should change his name, now that I know he’s a boy!  Any suggestions??

This is Lady–a White, rumpless Aracauna.  Known for blue eggs and no tails, I’m hoping to cross these with a nice brown egg layer to create olive colored eggs.

This is Lady’s brother, No-name rumpless roo.  (need another name, here!)

I need a name!

I need a name!

This little girl is the result of an egg shipped to me from four states away.  I stuck her under this momma who did a fine job of hatching and raising her.  Her name is Lois and she is a Sultan.  In the past this breed decorated the lawns of royalty.  Eye candy is about all they’re good for!

Lois

Lois has quite the personality and is my only problem child.  I have to hunt for her every night and tuck her in.  All the other ladies and gents know enough to tuck themselves in!

I’m hoping to set eggs soon for another hatch.  Hey, what can I say?  There’s worse habits to have!
